Dermatology. Educational Technology. Wounds and injuries. Nursing.
Introduction: The Venous Ulcer (VU) is characterized by a lesion predominantly in the lower limbs, which can be single or multiple, determined by the destruction of the epidermis, dermis and deeper tissues. The nurse is responsible for routine VU assessment, in addition to making decisions about the type of dressing and coverage used. Thus, this professional requires knowledge and dedication. Objective: To develop a prototype of a serious game about venous ulcers. Method: This is a study that will be carried out from two methods, applied research, methodological, with a quantitative approach. The study will be developed at the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN) in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte in partnership with the Instituto Metrópole Digital (IMT) of UFRN. Because it is a methodological study, all stages will be carried out at UFRN and with the support of digital platforms. The first step will consist of the construction of the serious game scenarios, which will be carried out from two sub-steps, namely: literature review with nursing care aimed at people with VU and elaboration of the questions that will compose the game. The second stage constitutes the evaluation of the serious game. This moment precedes the presentation of the software to the target audience, and will be the result of a mutual contribution by professionals who will contribute to improvements in the content and operational aspects of the software as a serious game. Expected results: with the identification of nursing care for patients with VU, the prototype of the game will be developed with the aim of consolidating the knowledge of nursing students regarding the theme worked on.
