Adaptation and validation of the Good Perioperative Nursing Care Scale
Perioperative Nursing; Questionnaires; Patient Centered Care; Nursing care.
In the perioperative period, the involvement of a multiprofessional team is mandatory, however, it is Nursing that provides care in an uninterrupted manner. It acts not only in the appreciation of physical, social, cultural and emotional aspects, but also within the clinical perspective, procedures and techniques, establishing a relationship of trust with patients. As an indicator of quality of care, the Good Perioperative Nursing Care Scale was developed in Finland, translated and validated in Turkey, Sweden, China and Denmark. However, there is no scale in Brazil that specifically evaluates the quality of Perioperative Nursing Care. Thus, we aim to carry out a cross-cultural adaptation of the Good Perioperative Nursing Care Scale scale into the Portuguese language and the Brazilian context. This is a methodological study with a quantitative approach for transcultural translation, adaptation and validation. The following steps will be followed: initial translation; synthesis of translation; back-translation; evaluation by committee of judges; pre-test; psychometric validation. The pre-test and psychometric validation stage will be performed at the Ruy Pereira dos Santos State Hospital and Onofre Lopes University Hospital, in the surgical clinical sector in patients who underwent limb amputation due to vascular changes. Sample composed of 40 patients in the pre-test and 340 in the validation stage. We will use the T-tests, Cronbach's alpha coefficient, factorial analysis, Pearson's correlation coefficient, Kappa coefficient. Thus, it is expected as a final product validated scale for the Brazilian context that evaluates the perioperative care quality of nurses. Making it possible not only to compare the international reality, but also to identify which aspects of care need change.
