Gorete emerges as a research subject during the specialization in Dramaturgias do Corpo Expandido e
dos Saberes Populares/UFSB, through cultural aspects, orality, wisdom of the elders, practical
experience as a way of creation, the breath that feeds the lands that gave birth to memories. It is that
Gorete creates herself, enters the perspectives of space and time of the sertão of Seridó, which is her
birthplace, and the pindoramic and afro-pindoramic manifestations (SANTOS, 2019) of the sertanejo
ground, healing the existence of the Mistresses and Masters, who are in the fight for the circulation and
maintenance of culture on earth facing and experiencing different forms of prejudice and silencing. In face
of this transit of cycles of wisdom, aspects of the aesthetic dimensions are also presented: scene,
characters/figures, costumes, instruments, sung points, dances, and paintings, resulting in this
dissertation painted, danced, sung, and sustained on the base of the cacete.
