SUMMARY:

Electromyography is a tool widely used in clinical practice toassess and treatpelvic floor dysfunction in women during the pregnancy-puerperium cycle.The aim of the research was to analyze the scientific evidence on theelectromyographic parameters used for the treatment of pelvic floordysfunctions in pregnant women at any gestational age and postpartumwomen up to 12 months after delivery. The research is characterized as areview protocol. The search for selected articles was carried out in onlinedatabases (Scopus, Medline, Pedro, Scielo and Pubmed) of randomizedcontrolled experimental studies and quasi-experimental studies that usedelectromyography as an intervention for the treatment of pelvic floordysfunction in women during pregnancy or in the postpartum period up to 12months after delivery. The risk ofbias will be assessed using the tools of theCochrane group. The Rob 2.0 tool will be used for experimental studies andthe Robins-I tool for non-experimental studies. The quality of the evidence willbe analyzed using the GRADE System Methodological Guide and thestructure of the systematic review will be carried out in accordance with thePreferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses(PRISMA) Guideline.
