THE SOCIOLOGY OF EDUCATION AND ITS CONTRIBUTIONS TO THE INTERPRETATION BRAZILIAN EDUCATIONAL SCENARIO DURING THE LULA GOVERNMENT (2003 – 2011)

The present work aims to analyze how the sociology of education helps in the interpretation of the Brazilian educational scenario during the Lula government (2003 – 2011). To do so, between approaches and methodological procedures, we will undertake a qualitative research allied to hermeneutic and historical methods. Furthermore, the referential bases of this investigation are Bourdieu and Passeron (2008), Durkheim (2011), Gadotti (2003; 2004), Germano (2011), Frigotto (2011), Neves (2018), Rodrigues (2011) Romanelli (2012) and Savani (2013).
