The food phenomenon plays an important role for society, since it is represented by a complex system of signs that are related to eating and cooking. Similarly, the media plays a relevant role in building social representations of the population. Because of this, a powerful influence of the media has been observed on issues related to food and its unfolding related to the human condition. Therefore, with the universality of this theme, reality shows are the media formats that gain greater visibility in relation to gastronomic programs, since it is an inviting strategy to unite two strong elements: eating and playing. However, the practice of the program often goes beyond the kitchen, yielding to a competition where aggressiveness, pressure and challenge are prevalent. Faced with this, ethical issues related to both human and food must also be reflected in the media sphere. The objective of this research was to understand ethics in food in the context of the media from the reality show program MasterChef Brazil. In order to reach the main objective of this study, data will be collected and analyzed using the technique of image analysis in movements, following the following procedure: initial investigation; Transcription of the analysis material; development of the coding framework; Interpretation and processing of data.
