The study "THE CONTRIBUTIONS OF HOME-BASED EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT IN THE SCHOOL LIFE OF A STUDENT WITH DUCHENNE MUSCULAR DYSTROPHY" aims to analyze how Home-Based Educational Support contributed to the schooling process of a student with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy, problematizing its organization, pedagogical intentionality, and insertion in the field of Inclusive Education. To this end, it adopts a qualitative approach, of an exploratory and descriptive nature, based on a case study, articulated with empirical investigation through interviews with the family and professionals involved in providing Home-Based Educational Support and analysis of the pedagogical practices developed in the home context. The results show that this teaching modality, although foreseen in educational policies aimed at guaranteeing the right to education, is still incipient in the academic field and in institutional practices, being marked by limited scientific production and weaknesses in its implementation. This scenario highlights the need to problematize the place of Home-Based Educational Support (HBS) in public educational policies and pedagogical practices, considering its importance for the continuity of the schooling process for students unable to attend regular school settings. Therefore, home-based support should be understood as an inclusive strategy to guarantee the right to education, based on equity and the valuing of the individual characteristics of each student. Finally, this study aims not only to contribute to a deeper understanding of Home-Based Educational Support, but also to broaden its social visibility, going beyond the restricted understanding of it as a duty of the public authorities. As a product of the research, the study proposes the development of a guidance document, in accessible language, aimed at the general population, with the intention of informing about the existence, objectives, and relevance of HBS, promoting access to information and the realization of this educational right.
