SUMMARY:

The growing demand for speed and effectiveness in the Brazilian Judiciary has driven the adoption of emerging technologies, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), as a tool to support quality management and the modernization of judicial services. This dissertation aims to analyze how AI tools implemented at the Court of Justice of Rio Grande do Norte (TJRN) contribute to improving procedural efficiency and the quality of judicial decisions, in light of the principles of Quality Engineering. The methodology adopted comprises a qualitative case study, supported by bibliographic and documentary research in scientific databases such as Scopus, SciELO, and Web of Science, in addition to empirical data collection conducted at the TJRN with the institutional support of Judge Diego Cabral and the SETIC team. During the investigation, it was identified that, despite technological advances and the use of solutions such as GPSMed, the Summary Generator, and the Cabinet Module, there are still gaps in the production of systematic and comparative reports on the performance of these tools. As a technical product, the proposal is to create an institutional reporting model that allows for the continuous assessment of the impacts and results of AI application in the Rio Grande do Norte State Court of Justice (TJRN). The results indicate that the integration of AI and Quality Engineering can promote significant gains in productivity, standardization of decisions, and democratization of access to justice, provided it is accompanied by appropriate technological governance strategies, training, and systematic impact assessment.
