This study investigates the use of Lean Six Sigma and Data Science methodologies in the context of Legal Operations, emphasizing their applications in the management of legal demands in law firms and legal departments of companies. The central objective is to demonstrate how these tools can optimize processes and legal management, contributing to the strategic development of legal businesses. The research also addresses the challenges faced by lawyers in the face of technological transformation, highlighting the importance of Lean Six Sigma and Data Science as instruments for management improvement. The study has both academic and professional relevance, in addition to potential social impact, by proposing the optimization of legal management through technologies that guarantee better performance. Specifically, we seek to understand how Lean Six Sigma and computational tools can improve the performance of Legal Operations, conceptualize Legal Operations, discuss Lean Six Sigma, approach Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, and carry out a case study in law firms and legal departments to assess the applicability and level of knowledge of lawyers and jurists about these methodologies as a management strategy. The research adopts a qualitative approach, using descriptive methods and a bibliographic review to theoretically support the topic, complemented by a case study with the application of questionnaires. The objective is to investigate how legal professionals understand and apply Legal Operations, Lean Six Sigma and Data Science tools in their activities. It is expected, therefore, to deepen the understanding of the application of these methodologies in the legal sector, evaluating the vision and knowledge of lawyers about the advantages, challenges and potential of these tools to optimize legal management.
