STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT MODEL FOR MONITORING CAPES QUADRIENNIAL EVALUATION CRITERIA FOR POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMS
Strategic management. Postgraduate studies. Quadrennial Assessment.
University management is characterized by a particular complexity, given the multiple objectives that need to be integrated. In the context of postgraduate education, the strategic management of program indicators is a challenge that requires planning and continuous monitoring of defined goals and actions. The objective of this study is to develop a strategic management model for postgraduate programs based on CAPES's quadennial assessment. Therefore, four methodological steps will be applied to the program under evaluation, namely: documentary analysis of CAPES evaluation of the program area; application of management tools for diagnosis; construction of strategic planning; and continuous monitoring of its indicators. As a result, a better understanding is expected regarding the criteria that have greater weight for evaluating the program, as well as identification of the program's current scenario in terms of its main deficits and which goals need to be achieved to improve its concept; and, mainly, the guideline for implementing a strategic management routine for the program, with continuous monitoring of its indicators.
