SUMMARY:

This study aims to investigate how neuroeconomics principles can guide the pedagogical design of an audiovisual educational product for adults, through the iterative development of the *Mente e Dinheiro* (Mind and Money) channel and the systematization of decisions regarding the translation of scientific knowledge into digital audiovisual language. The research is justified by the need to broaden the understanding of the cognitive, emotional, social, and contextual processes involved in financial decisions—particularly within digital environments structured to capture attention and prompt rapid choices. It is a qualitative, applied, and development-oriented study, inspired by the principles of Design-Based Research. The analysis utilized various script versions, reflective journal entries, theoretical framework and design decision charts, exploratory recording tests, comparative matrices, and the audiovisual prototype. The results indicate that translating neuroeconomics knowledge into an audiovisual format goes beyond merely simplifying scientific concepts; it requires integrating conceptual rigor, accessible language, everyday financial situations, and narrative and audiovisual techniques. Finally, the study highlights the importance of systematizing design principles that can guide the production of evidence-based financial education content committed to fostering critical reflection on financial choices.
