SUMMARY:

School administrators play a strategic and fundamentally important role in the management of schools. This role is a complex activity that demands a diverse set of skills, especially in light of the social, cultural, and technological transformations affecting 21st-century schools. In this increasingly dynamic educational landscape, investing in training becomes essential to enable school administrators to make more informed decisions, take actions more consistent with the needs of the school community, and be better prepared for leadership. Computational Thinking emerges as a possibility for developing these skills, as it stimulates the critical analysis of problems and the creation of solutions in a logical and collaborative way, through problem-solving, pattern identification, abstraction, and the formulation of strategies through solutions. Therefore, this dissertation aims to develop and implement training for school administrators in the Natal/RN State Public School System on Computational Thinking, strengthening essential 21st-century skills for educational management. To achieve the objective of this research, a methodology is proposed under an applied approach, with a qualitative exploratory approach and nuances of action research. This research is divided into four parts: 1) survey and analysis of academic productions through a Literature Review; 2) identification of the target audience and initial diagnosis; 3) development of the instructional design for the training course on Computational Thinking and application of the training; 4) evaluation of the collected data and organization of the results. The final product is a practical training guide on Computational Thinking for school administrators, a didactic and formative material that brings together the content involved, the methodologies used, and the exercises performed. It is expected that this research will contribute significantly and innovatively to the continuing education of school administrators, assisting in the development of new ways of thinking and acting in the face of current educational demands, strengthening important skills in the daily lives of administrators and making these professionals more prepared to deal with the challenges of the 21st century, especially those that activate creative and effective solutions.
