PEDAGOGICAL EVALUATION OF DIGITAL MATH GAMES FOR THE 3RD YEAR OF ELEMENTARY SCHOOL ON THE COLABEDUC PLATFORM
Educational Digital Games, Pedagogical Assessment, Primary School, ColabEduc.
Educational digital games are increasingly being used in classrooms due to their potential to provide meaningful learning, provided they are designed with pedagogical intent. When designed with clear educational objectives in mind, these games can generate successful results in the teaching-learning process. However, in order to achieve these results, it is essential that the games undergo a careful pedagogical evaluation, conducted by an education professional, such as a pedagogue. This evaluation is a process that examines the pedagogical effectiveness of games in the context of teaching and learning, analyzing their ability to contribute to the development of the expected competencies and skills. In this context, this research aims to pedagogically evaluate digital educational math games for the 3rd year of elementary school, available on the ColabEduc platform, a collaborative game development system. The methodology adopted is qualitative, applied and exploratory, including a Systematic Literature Review to support the analysis of digital game evaluation tools. The final product will be a manual of good practices containing the evaluations carried out and suggestions for improvements, helping to improve the resources available on ColabEduc and to promote more meaningful learning. The expectation is that, in the medium term, this research will help to improve the pedagogical quality of digital math games for the 3rd year of elementary school, fostering their effectiveness in the educational context.
