This document describes how the Professional Master's research in Educational Innovations and Technologies will be carried out, which has as its theme: Continuing Education of Teachers for the use of Digital Tools in the Computer Lab, linked to the Research Line: Practices with Educational Technologies. The aforementioned research aims to answer the following question: What characteristics should continuing education of teachers have for the use of digital tools in the computer lab, which contributes to the improvement of teachers' digital skills and the integration of technology into the Curriculum? This study will have as its product, according to CAPES Technical Production definitions, a professional training course, in the
face-to-face format and in the computer lab of two state schools in Rio Grande do Norte, the Professor Francisco Barbosa State School, located in Sao de Mipibu, and the Jacumauma State School, located in Ares, both of which are high schools in Rio Grande do Norte. The reasons that led to the development of this proposal arise from my experience in my workplace, at the 2nd Regional Directorate of Education and Culture - 2nd DIREC, from the monitoring of schools in the elaboration of projects for opening a computer lab and assigning a teacher. The study is justified by its relevance, considering the current context and the legal requirements for the Integration of Digital Technologies into the curriculum. We need to recognize that Digital Information and Communication Technologies (TDIC) require new training processes that contribute to the development of teachers' digital skills. In order to conduct the research process, which we intend to achieve, ensuring its relevance, we have the following general objective: To analyze the contributions of continuing teacher training for the use of digital tools in the computer lab, in state schools within the jurisdiction of the 2nd Regional Directorate of Education and Culture - DIREC. To this end, the specific objectives were outlined as follows: To identify gaps in continuing teacher training for the use of digital tools; To investigate which continuing education formats can contribute to improving the level of digital skills of teachers; To plan and develop continuing education for the use of digital tools in the computer lab in two schools of the 2nd DIREC. The theoretical framework will be based on studies about public policies aimed at implementing TDCIs in the educational context, survey of current legislation and guidelines that guide the integration of Digital Technologies in education. For legal discussions in the scope of educational technologies, policies and programs implemented in Brazil in the last decades and those that are currently underway will be taken into account, as well as international experiences in digital education. The study is characterized as an action research with case study procedures. Considering the theoretical and practical implications of the impact of this research, it is expected that this study will contribute to teacher training, leading them to improve their digital skills and enabling them to use digital tools in the computer lab, thus contributing to the integration of technologies into the curriculum and thus making classes more innovative, enabling a change in perception about the use of digital technologies in the educational context.
