INTERACTIVE WORKSHEETS AS A MEDIATING TOOL IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE PRACTICE
English Teaching; Interactivity; Public School
This present research aims to evaluate the contributions of interactive worksheets to the practice of English language in the 9th grade students of a public school, located in Extremoz, Rio Grande do Norte. The theoretical framework is based on the principles of Almeida and Moran (2005) on active learning through digital media, Tori (2010) and Silva (2000) in the debate on interactive environments and interactivity, and Prensky (2001) and his theory of digital natives. To achieve this goal, a qualitative research model with an experimental group and a control group will be conducted. Through questionnaires, written and oral production and continuous observation of performance in carrying out the activities, evidence of the effective contributions of interactive worksheets to English language practice will be collected. Based on the results obtained from this research, an Educational guide will be created to guide teachers in the creation and use of interactive activities. This research intends to provide a positive example of the use of technology for pedagogical purposes, thereby contributing to the modernization of teaching practices in public schools.
