SUMMARY:

The need for the implementation of policies aimed at energy transition drives the renewable energy sector, prompting increased investments in this field. Globally and nationally, data reveals significant growth in the incorporation of wind and solar energy into power grids, fostering further technological advancements to ensure efficiency and quality in the generation process. This study aims to analyze the Electromagnetic Frequency Regulator (EFR), investigating its application in hybrid generation systems (wind and secondary source), and examining the relationship between the number of poles of the generator, the EFR, and the gear transmission ratio. The methodology includes mathematical modeling, numerical simulations, an optimization approach to minimize electrical losses in the system, and machine design tools to detail the physical and economic aspects of the proposed solution. Key contributions include studies on overall losses, the application of hourly frequency distribution for wind behavior modeling, and the design of induction machines compatible with optimized parameters. Preliminary results indicate that the EFR has the potential to enhance the efficiency of wind systems, particularly in large-scale hybrid scenarios. The study also proposes the design of an induction machine tailored to specific operating conditions, highlighting the technical feasibility and efficiency gains provided by the solution.
