A methodology for indoor location based on diversity of sources
Indoor location, navigation, smartphone, wireless transmitter networks, inertial sensors.
Coordinates are valuable data, from which attract a lot of interest and investments in the most diverse areas, such as navigation, rescue, security and marketing. When dealing with indoor environments, there are several challenges for a wireless-based signaling system based on the technological limitations and behavior of the propagation and interaction of signals in the structures and noise in the environment. In this work, a methodology will be proposed to be used in indoor location systems for mobile devices, capable of generating coordinates and mitigating misrepresentations through a variety of sources. The solution uses as reference coordinates estimated through signals from Wi-Fi and BLE stations as well as inertial sensors. Data fusion in Kalman filters is used to extract the location information.
