Educational Robotics, Mental Disorder, Prevention, Mental Health
We propose in this paper to study whether Educational Robotics in the classroom can be used to improve cognitive functions and prevent social problems that inhibit the socio-cultural development of many young people today. It should be noted that there are already studies verifying the effectiveness of Educational Robotics in children and adolescents with diagnoses of the autism spectrum, visual impairment, but we do not find in the literature a study similar to the one proposed in this paper, it is only known that Educational Robotics improves the functions. cognitive abilities of the child as well as their and their teachers' self-esteem. During this work, we intend to verify if children and adolescents who take educational robotics classes are less susceptible to major problems of depression, stress, among other types of mental disorders. To analyze these viables it will be necessary to prepare questionnaires for teachers and students and apply them. The questionnaires will be applied in the practical stage of the Brazilian Robotics Olympiad that took place at the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Norte. With this data we will be able to analyze and verify the educational robotics tool.
