DC-DC Converter Using Sigma Delta Modulator
Sigma Delta, PWM, Buck, Modulador
Switching power supplies are distinguished from conventional power supplies by their ability to deliver higher currents. Control of opening and closing of the switch is usually done by PWM, where spikes are usually generated. Thus, the work proposes the development of a switched power supply for mobile applications that requires high efficiency and excellent noise performance. The main objective is to design a DC-DC Buck converter using a Sigma Delta modulator, comparing it with the usual PWM. For this, parameters such as sample rate, RMS power, bandwidth, input voltage range and modulators' order will be analyzed. This is expected to minimize switching source noise.
