Wounds and Injuries; Diabetes mellitus; Primary Health Care.
Diabetes mellitus is an important public health problem that compromises the quality of life of users of the Unified Health System. This study aims to build and validate a wound assessment instrument for people with type 2 DM in Primary Health Care in the city of Caicó. This is a methodological study divided into two stages: instrument construction and content validation. For the construction, an integrative literature review was carried out using articles selected from national and international databases. The study population will be made up of volunteer experts after guidance, clarification, authorization and signing of the free and informed consent form, which will validate the content. The sample will be constructed after applying the eligibility criteria. The collected data will be entered into Microsoft Excel 2016, and exported to SPSS version 22.0. For data analysis, the Content Validity Index will be used, which evaluates the proportion or percentage of judges who are in agreement on certain aspects of the instrument. This project was sent to the Research Ethics Committee and during its conduct the ethical and legal principles recommended in Resolution no. 466/2012 of the National Health Council. This study aims to develop a final product in the form of an instrument to evaluate wounds in patients with type 2 Diabetes mellitus in Primary Health Care.
