INTRODUCTION: The LGBTQIAPN+ population is included in the context of care and demands within the Brazilian Unified Health System (SUS), requiring strategies, such as the potential offered by health education, to strengthen and promote the comprehensive health of this population, in settings such as LGBTQIAPN+ health clinics or even in Primary Health Care (PHC) services. OBJECTIVE: To develop educational strategies based on the mapped needs of the population served at the LGBTQIAPN+ clinic in the municipality of Caicó-RN. METHODOLOGY: This is an action research with a qualitative, participatory, and applied approach based on the framework of Popular Education in Health (EPS) and Situational Strategic Planning (PES) in health and Bardin's discourse analysis, using a semi-structured questionnaire to collect data applied among the participants of a health education group during three meetings, with the research site being the specialized LGBTQIAPN+ health clinic. RESULTS AND DISCUSSION: Participation in this research was among gay, lesbian, and bisexual individuals, most of whom had been using the clinic's services for less than six months and reported that health education spaces promote dialogue, acceptance, and contributions to their health. The study revealed that participants still need diverse knowledge, including mental health and the health of the trans population, and that these areas should be addressed in lectures and discussion groups using active methodologies. The clinic proved to be a resource that provides access and reduces barriers, such as geographical barriers, to specialized services that were previously only available in the state capital. A technical product, a quick guide composed of five thematic axes, was developed to support the planning and execution of health education actions, aiming at access and comprehensiveness. FINAL CONSIDERATIONS: Health education presents itself as an instrument for training and building LGBTQIAPN+ health, fostering spaces for discussion and filling gaps among participants. This quick guide emerges from the needs identified by a segment of the population under study, showing potential to contribute to strengthening LGBTQIAPN+ health.
