SUMMARY:
The arrival of students with disabilities in regular classrooms caused significant changes, especially among teachers, who had to transform their teaching practices to meet the individualities of all students in increasingly heterogeneous classes. In this sense, the present study arises from the concerns of teachers of the Natural Sciences curricular component who reported in their speeches their difficulties in teaching certain content to classes that are so diverse in their rhythms and ways of learning. The investigation, with a qualitative approach, exploratory and descriptive in nature, has collaborative research as its methodology (Ibiapina and Ferreira, 2005) and as a theoretical contribution the studies of Zabala (1998), (2008), Oliveira (2013), Kranz (2014 ), Zerbato and Mendes (2018), Côrte (2020), as well as the official documents prepared by the MEC such as the National Policy on Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education (Brazil, 2008), the Operational Guidelines for Specialized Educational Assistance in Education Basic (Brazil, 2009) and the National Common Curricular Base-BNCC (Brazil, 2017). This research presents as subjects participants science teaching teachers and students in the last years of basic education, with the general objective of mapping the challenges and possibilities of teaching-learning of the Natural Sciences discipline taught to a class in the final years of Elementary School. of a public school located in the city of Natal–RN and as specific objectives, identify, together with teachers and students, the most challenging content, collaboratively develop a didactic sequence with an approach based on the Universal Design for Learning , for Natural Sciences classes in a Elementary School class - Final Years, in addition to applying and documenting the perceptions of those researched involved regarding the product, choosing the questionnaire as collection instruments, to understand the profile and repertoire of those investigated, the focus group, the Codesign tool and evaluation of the didactic sequence. It is expected that with this work, reflections on teaching will be encouraged, enabling educational practices to provide effective learning for all students.
