SUMMARY:

Introduction:The area of work management and health education plays a crucial role in promoting policies that value work, workers and democratize work relations in the context of the Unified Health System (SUS). This area encompasses activities such as staffing, workforce planning, work process management, and employee development. In the state of Rio Grande do Norte, the State Department of Public Health (SESAP) assumes the role of conducting health policy, covering eight health regions. In this geographically branched context, the management of work and health education faces challenges related to the use of information and data systems to support decision-making, making use of old and modern technologies that can encompass the dynamics of territories. The information systems currently used by the Coordination of Labor Management and Health Education (CGTES) generate large volumes of data, which are isolated in different databases, making it difficult to communicate and integrate this information, which, in turn, makes decision-making difficult. As a strategy to reverse this scenario, CGTES is implementing an Observatory as a tool to support decision-making. The CGTES-SESAP Observatory can provide an integrated and systemic view of information, by enabling the identification of trends, gaps and opportunities for improving policies and practices in the area. Analyze the implementation process of the Observatory of Work Management and Health Education, within the scope of SESAP. In this context, the methodological focus adopted for this dissertation is characterized as an action research, which employs mixed procedures, with an emphasis on qualitative techniques. Different methods will be used, which, through the triangular analysis of their data, will be able to provide insights aimed at transforming the practices developed in the area under study, with an approach that is similar to evaluative research in health, which comprises the analysis of aspects of structure, process and outcome.
