SUMMARY:

This work refers to an intervention proposal aimed at the formation of literary readers through strategies developed from the reading of Uma estranha na cidade, from its retextualization to the final product, that is, a minute-video produced by the students. By understanding the importance of literary texts in the knowledge that is widespread through reading and time, the multimodality brought the flexibility to advance this work by covering different communication modalities such as literary chronicles, group work, textual production and the recording of the minute-video. The planning of the latter was focused on daily practice in the classroom in the reading process and reflection about the text. In this sense, the research was conducted under an interdisciplinary perspective with the purpose of promoting approximation between readers and texts that enable an enriching and enchanting literary reading experience, in a Brazilian 9th grade class in Middle School. For the execution of this study, we adopted a qualitative methodological approach, more specifically from the perspective of action research, based on Thiollent (2011). The work done with the literary chronicle genre followed the didactic sequence suggested by Dolz (2010), the methodology came from practical classes, in which the text production was possible and registered in the students' collective diary, which was essential to the minute-video script. Regarding literary literacy, we count on the contributions of Cosson (2011). Regarding speech genres, we reflect on the research of Bakhtin (2003), for digital genres and multiliteracies: Rojo (2012) and Ribeiro (2016). All of these theorists contributed to the success of this research. The results from this research show that the students' abilities related to selecting and using consciously the video as a didactic resource are little significant. Despite the considerable number of moments of analyses throughout the project, we noticed lack of engagement on the recording of the minute-video. However, regarding the critical praxis, we achieved the success we aimed for. All this success can be seen on the improvement of the reading competences, on the reflexive process and on the production of each one’s journal.
