SUMMARY:

This Professional Master's Completion Work, also consisting of a technical report, consists of a technical architectural intervention project and a technical report of a building for religious use intended as a Catholic liturgical space with an emphasis on ambience and environmental comfort, to the city of Caicó/RN. Sacred spaces, Catholic environments par excellence, must present certain characteristics in order to build a liturgical celebratory space – a place where religious and sacramental services can be performed in the spirit of prayer and the supreme dignity of the celebration of the Eucharist. In addition to this, there must be concepts, design tools, presentation, display of design methods, good construction techniques and bringing the benefits of ambience and environmental comfort to the space to be designed. The objective is to develop an architectural proposal for a building based on issues of spatial ambience and environmental comfort, in order to seek comfortable architectural solutions that carry in its space the ideal conditions of connection to the sacred and well-being of its users who seek its use. To develop the project, this proposal was initially carried out a theoretical-conceptual deepening of the topic, through bibliographical research and studies of previous or related project references. Next, the development of architectural programming was developed, with the definition of dilemmas and project goals. From this base, and with the help of the contents worked on in the course's curricular components, the design process was gradually developed and mapped, through different forms of recording, from the initial stages of conditioning studies, conception and until the development of the architectural party. Considering the specific objectives, the work sought architectural strategies to maximize comfort conditions in the built environment, both in terms of ideal ventilation conditions and local thermal comfort, and in the adoption of elements that favor the acoustics of the internal space, leading to aspects linked to the form and use of this spatial typology are taken into account. The results achieved consist of a project formed by two interconnected blocks, with the main building, intended for celebrations (the church itself), being a building and the second building aimed at the support building, a construction that took advantage of the incorporation of the previous existing chapel building. , promoting the integration of new and old spaces, and the structure. This solution aimed to preserve some building characteristics in order to preserve and immortalize the memory of the place that is so important to the community and the faithful who frequent it. This proposed design solution is expected to meet the set objectives.
