ENERGY EFFICIENCY RESIDENTIAL BUILDING DESIGN APPLYING BUILDING INFORMATION MODELLING (BIM)
Architectural Design; Energy efficiency; Bilding Information Modelling
This qualification work consists of a technical report and initial project proposal for a vertical multi-family residential complex with an emphasis on energy efficiency using BIM as a process for automating legislation verification. The main objective is to develop a vertical residential architectural draft with an emphasis on the energy performance of the envelope through Building Information Modeling – BIM from the project's conception. The proposal arose due to the deepening of the climate crisis, which weakens the national energy production capacity in a scenario of difficulty in consistently implementing energy efficiency standards in architectural projects. In order to support the development of the work, it began with theoretical-conceptual research and establishing a work methodology to parameterize normative criteria within the BIM environment. This was followed by checking design references for the typology of the current work. Subsequently, the architectural programming was defined with the definition of dilemmas and project goals which, together with the conditioning studies, map the design problems involved. The project will then be conceived and gradually developed through various forms of recording in analog and digital media. Bearing in mind its specific objectives, the work sought to discuss the experience of parameterizing environmental performance during the design phases in order to analyze and understand the performance parameters of the Inmetro Normative Instruction and then apply tools that make it possible to associate the standard parameters with the environment BIM to finally validate the methodology through the development of the architectural project. At this stage of the work, initial project solutions are presented that will be used to apply the developed work structure and, from its iterations, produce new solution possibilities.
