DESIGN OF AN URBAN BUS TERMINAL FOR THE NEIGHBORHOOD PLANALTO - NATAL / RN WITH EMPHASIS IN A FASTER AND LESS COST CONSTRUCTIVE SYSTEM.
Bus terminal; Tensioned roof; Fast construction.
This Professional Master's Qualification Work, also constituted in a technical report, consists of a technical draft of an urban bus terminal for the Planalto neighborhood, with an emphasis on a rapid construction system. Most of the population of Natal /RN is a public user of urban bus transport, as well as the age group of users who need this type of means of transportation to exercise their daily activities, such as study, work and leisure. The public transport system of a city is not only shortened to vehicles that transport people on different routes, it is also composed of buildings, their accesses and facilities, elements that need to serve users with correct and effective planning, configuring themselves as protected and safe space for users and employees. However, there is no infrastructure of this nature, compatible with the demand of people who travel daily through the urban bus terminals implanted in Natal/RN. Understanding the great importance of this urban equipment for the local society, the objective is to offer a functional and comfortable proposal for the population, through the preliminary plan of the Planalto II Bus Terminal, in Planalto neighborhood, since this location does not even have a building of this type. Considering the specific objectives, during the elaboration of the research it was necessary to study the dynamics of operation of the bus terminals; to evaluate the bioclimatic aspects and the surroundings aiming at the functionality and efficient performance of the building; point out techniques and materials that favor fast construction and an attractive cost-benefit ratio. To develop the proposal, it was initially carried out a theoretical-conceptual deepening on the subject, through bibliographic research and studies of related design references. Then, the design phase followed, based on the concept definition, broken the architectural programming, definition of dilemmas and goals of the project. From this base and with the help of the curricular components of the course, the design process was gradually being developed and mapped, through various forms of registration, from the initial stages of studies of constraints, design and development of the architectural party, up to the scope of the Terminal proposal. As a result, there is a proposal for a functional building, using a tensioned roof, to be executed in a short time and with lower costs, when compared to other building systems.
