Educational film and video; Health technologies; Educational multimedia.
Introduction: In regions with geographical challenges such as Manaus and the municipalities of Amazonas, technology is emerging as an essential strategy for improving reception and care in the Outpatient Cardiology Service at Ambulario Araujo Lima (AAL). The use of digital resources such as videos, apps, and interactive platforms seeks to promote support, information, and self-care in an accessible and continuous manner. These technological tools aim to reduce patient anxiety, strengthen the bond with healthcare professionals, and optimize understanding of the clinical condition, even while waiting for specialized care, contributing to a more welcoming, informative, and effective system. Objective: To develop an informative video for users of a specialized outpatient service. Methodology: This is an action research study with a qualitative approach, based on content analysis of responses from open-ended semi-structured interviews conducted at the Cardiology Service of AAL. The study population consisted of 60 users treated at the AAL Cardiology Service. The inclusion criteria were: cardiology service users, of both genders, over 18 years of age. Results: The analysis revealed that disorganized service flow, delays in scheduling exams, and a lack of clear guidance compromise service efficiency and the patient experience. As an intervention, an educational video starring the avatar "Araujinho" was developed, explaining, in a playful and accessible way, how the outpatient clinic works, from scheduling to consultation. The material, evaluated by 21 users, was considered effective in conveying information, reducing anxiety, and promoting autonomy. Its simple language, combined with visual resources and didactic organization, facilitated understanding of the service flow and priorities. Conclusion: Educational technologies, when combined with a personalized approach, can improve healthcare services, making them more effective and equitable. The research reinforces the importance of public policies that prioritize clear communication, accessibility, and active user participation, strengthening the SUS as an inclusive system that is sensitive to local realities.
