Access to health services offered by the Unified Health System (SUS) presents many obstacles to users, especially people with chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs). Among them is Systemic Lupus Erythematosus (SLE), which in addition to being a chronic disease is very serious. SLE is an autoimmune disease, of an inflammatory nature, which requires special care. Therefore, it is classified in Medium Complexity (MC). The present research, with a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory approach, aims to analyze the perception of people with SLE regarding access to scheduling specialized appointments and laboratory and imaging tests, and to identify the factors that contribute or hinder access to health services offered by the SUS. The participants of the research were people with SLE attended at a Rheumatology service in the city of Manaus - AM, Data collection was carried out through semi-structured interviews. After collection, the transcribed, coded and categorized data were organized and presented through tables, graphs and charts. Data analysis was carried out through Thematic Content Analysis (Bardin, 2016). In the preliminary results, it was observed that long waiting periods in the queue of the Regulation System (SIREG) have caused concern about the evolution of the disease, impairment in treatment, delay in the acquisition of medicines, impairment in the evaluation and prescription of medical prescriptions, triggering complications of the clinical picture and progression of the disease. It is intended to present the results of this research to the team of the outpatient clinic in question, disseminating the findings in a scientific article and other means.
