PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES/BODY PRACTICES AND SELF-CARE DURING THE COVID-19 LOCKDOWN IN RIO GRANDE DO NORTE
Body, health, physical activity
This dissertation aims to discuss Physical Activities/Corporal Practices (PA/CP) and self-care during the Covid-19 lockdown in Rio Grande do Norte. It is a qualitative study, with semi-structured interviews applied to undergraduate, master's and doctoral students. The PA/PC were carried out autonomously in homes and in external spaces, with the help of digital platforms, providing those who experienced them with a variety of sensations, both positive (relaxation, well-being, reduced anxiety, etc.) and negative (irritation and pain, for example), showing that these practices represent one part of several actions that can contribute to self-care, but that, in isolation, they do not guarantee only benefits. This discussion could contribute with implications and other points for Physical Education.
