SUMMARY:

Cases of dementia have been increasing worldwide. THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (Cannabidiol) are cannabinoids present in the Cannabis sativa plant and have neurogenesis properties, but their effects in clinical practice are not yet well understood. In this observational, descriptive, quantitative and longitudinal study, we will evaluate the impact of cannabinoids on cognition, mood, sleep and quality of life of long-lived patients diagnosed with mild to moderate dementia syndrome (N = 19), treated with full spectrum Cannabis Sativa plant oil rich in CBD (Cannabidiol) and rich in THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol), with dosage adjustments, which will be carried out according to the guidance of the accompanying physician, where in the first consultation the patients and guardians will be instructed on how the volunteers should apply the scales before starting treatment with the oils, after 02 months of starting treatment and at the end of 04 months.
