In media studies, symbolic exchanges between production and reception allow us to understand how the gears of the cultural industry work. Being Batman, a character born in comic books in the 1930s was transmuted following the temporal flow in connection with the media universe, immersed in the imagery and symbolic repertoire of mass culture through the uniqueness of its trajectory. By problematizing the character of Batman, his condition of mediation through his adaptations to the television and cinematographic means identifying the narrative discourses in distinct historical-cultural contexts, relativizing the relation between author-work-reader, in the light of cultural studies Of John B. Thompson and Pierre Bourdieu, of the mediations of Jesús Martín-Barbero, of the narrativity of Umberto Eco and of the concept of Hero Journey of Joseph Campbell
