This study aims to investigate the influence of reading habits on the perception and self-perception of social status, mating value, and personality of the individual. To this end, two stages will be carried out. In the first, participants over 18 years of age will evaluate subjects who are readers and non-readers regarding their social status, mating value, and personality. In the second, participants who characterize themselves as readers and are over 18 years of age will make a self-assessment regarding their social status, mating value, personality, fundamental social motives, and reading habits. Participants will answer questionnaires anonymously that will be applied online. This study seeks to answer the question: “What are the effects of reading habits on the social status and other attributes of the individual?” Through this study, we hope to broaden the understanding of the relationship between cultural habits and the self-perception of individual characteristics. This approach contributes to the development of knowledge about the factors that influence our behavior in a social context.
