THE INSULATION SITUATION OF HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS AT HOTEL BARREIRA ROXA, NATAL/RN
Pandemic; Covid-19; Isolation; Health professionals.
The Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 brought problems in the medical and social field. Its rapid evolution has made evident the fragility of health systems in several countries. Mismatched information, protocols without scientific validity and fake News were elements that brought concern to the population and health professionals. When addressing the Covid theme in countries with an unstable and negligent political structure, the situation worsens. It was, without a doubt, the case of Brazil. This study aims to analyze the situation of health professionals in isolation at Hotel Barreira Roxa, located in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte. Such professionals who work in medium and high complexity in direct contact with patients with Covid-19 are in a situation of vulnerability that includes not only the risks of infection, but weaknesses of a subjective nature. Such dimensions are being assessed at work, through questionnaires applied to public health workers in Rio Grande do Norte isolated at the hotel. The treatment of the data obtained will be through the DDS (Collective Subject Discourse) and the theoretical framework collected through articles published in the databases of the Journals portal of the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES); Scientific Eletronic Libray online (SciELO) and Latin American and Caribbean Literature in Health Sciences (LILACS), in addition to specific literature on Biopolitics and Biopower in Michel Foucault's works. It is hoped to contribute so that the discussion about care for professionals is taken into account and, in general, the appreciation of their role in society as the largest and most relevant participant in facing the pandemic.
