ELECTORAL LAW AND FUNDING PROJECTS: A STUDY OF PERFORMANCE OF DEPUTIES FEDERAL DO RIO GRANDE DO NORTE 2003 2014

This study aims to analyze the relationship between the electoral political funding made by companies and the legislative activity of deputies elected by the state of Rio Grande do Norte. Wanted ascertain whether the business financing, in fact, intervene and influence the behavior of deputy elected, making the performance of this policy seeks to favour business interests. For the production of this study, there was an investigation of all bills submitted by RN deputies in the period between 2003 and 2014 in relation to the business interest and impact in this sector, drawing a parallel with funding received by the se politicians in the 2002 elections, 2006 and 2010. the data show that, although there is a correlation between funding and influence beneficial projects to business interests, this link is not a causal nexus and not one-dimensional, requiring the inclusion of other variables in the equation in order to understand it better.
