RESUMEN:

The present study is the result of the researcher's particular concerns regarding weaknesses with the current model of inclusive education aimed at deaf students in basic education.  The general objective of this investigation is to analyze the use of the theoretical methodological resource of the seminar genre and its implications for the learning of deaf students in a deaf institution in Natal RN. As specific objectives we have: Apply didactic sequence constructed in teaching the seminar genre; Compare similarities and differences between the seminar genre in Libras and in Portuguese; Identify developments in the learning of deaf students and produce, as a product, a methodological guide to assist the teaching and learning processes. For this purpose, the Deaf Support Center in Natal/RN was chosen as the research locus, due to its ease of access, because it fits the characteristics of the research and because it is a space to provide assistance to the deaf in a bilingual context. Bilingual hearing and deaf teachers and deaf students from elementary school I - initial grades participated in the research. The research on screen was based on a descriptive-interpretative methodology (Ribeiro et al, 2022) with a qualitative focus (Minayo, 2014), correlated to action research (Thiollent, 2011). The instruments used for data collection were: semi-structured interview, questionnaire and observation that resulted in 11 (eleven) field diaries that are described in the chronological sequence of the action. These are: recording of classes before SD, recording of the survey and introductory class on the topic to be studied, recording of the circle marked on expectations and possible challenges in the seminar context and finally, recording of classes during SD.  The data obtained was analyzed according to Moraes' (2007) discursive textual analysis.  As a theoretical reference, we are based on Deaf studies (Quadros, 2006; Skliar, 2006; Menezes, 2017, 2023), Orality studies (Dolz et al., 2004; Schneuwly, 2004;); Studies of discursive genres (Bakhtin, 2011) and dialogues between the foundations of Bakhtin (2011), Freire (2005) and Vygotsky (1989) in education. The results point to: a) the need to teach Libras in the classroom; b) consider speech in Libras as a way of learning for deaf people, through expressive language; C) need to use the seminar discursive genre, as a teaching strategy to stimulate deaf people's argumentative skills.  Ultimately, in the deaf schooling process, the need for curricular adaptation in inclusive schools is based on the research by Santos Filho (2015), which makes the choice for a bilingual school inevitable. From this research it was possible to build a Manual that will serve as a methodological guide for teaching seminar discursive genres and contribute to the teaching and learning processes, in addition to facilitating new research into the use of oral genres and signaled genres.
