Teaching and Learning of Children with Microcephaly in Early Childhood Education in the Metropolitan Region of Natal

The present research has as general objective to analyze the educational trajectory and the teaching and learning processes of children with microcephaly in Kindergarten in Natal and metropolitan region. The relationship with the subject through professional performance at the Public Health Department of Rio Grande do Norte – SESAP/RN and acting as a Teacher of Early Childhood Education were the main motivators for the development of this research project from the perspective of inclusive education. The research will have a qualitative approach. Research participants will be the child, the teachers and the mother/guardian of the child. The data collection instruments will be semi-structured interviews through virtual meetings by zoom or google meet. Data will be analyzed through Content Analysis. As expected results, the aim is to systematize the experiences of families and education professionals on the educational trajectories of children with microcephaly in the city of Natal. As a product, a booklet will be produced with suggestions on inclusion and teaching and learning strategies for children with microcephaly.
