Build and validate an instrument for monitoring the supervised internship of undergraduate Nursing students by preceptors in an Intensive Care Unit
Nursing. Education. Intensive care Unit. Preceptor
Preceptorship is a key part in the development of the supervised internship. In their practice, preceptors accompany and guide the students' training, bringing the world of education closer to the world of work, contributing to reflection, learning and the development of autonomy for the future exercise of the profession. In the practice of preceptorship, the nurse approaches the role of a teacher. There are several challenges of preceptorship, some of which occur due to the organization of work in the services. One of the problems concerns fragmented preceptorship, when professionals, due to the workday, find it difficult to monitor the student continuously, generating intermittent monitoring. Furthermore, without a way to integrate the actions developed, preceptors start to act almost in isolation. In this sense, this study aims to build and validate an instrument for monitoring the supervised internship of undergraduate Nursing students by preceptors in an Intensive Care Unit. This is a methodological study with a quantitative approach.
