THE DENTAL SURGEON'S WORK PROCESS IN THE FAMILY HEALTH STRATEGY OF THE MUNICIPALITY OF SÃO JOSÉ DE MIPIBU-RN: CHALLENGES FOR INTEGRAL CARE
Continuing education, Interdisciplinary practices, Integrality in health, Oral health, Primary health care
Collective Oral Health emerged with the advent of the Unified Health System, bringing a new perspective to dental practices in the public service. However, it has not been easy to break with the hegemonic project in the field of dentistry, which reminds us of past practices based on the flexnerian paradigm, with conceptions focused exclusively on the biological dimension of the individual and oriented towards the disease and its cure, of actions that are often isolated, repetitive, and decontextualized. To qualify actions that involve and stimulate new ways to undertake these practices comprises new strategies that favor the redirection of the oral health care model in Primary Care, so that the user becomes the center of health actions and outlines the scientific and technical interventions aiming at the integrality of care. To this end, it is necessary to have a strong integration and interaction between the different professionals, as well as the combination of different skills and knowledge. In this perspective, it is essential to expand the spaces for good practices that, in turn, involve two paths: the discussion of management strategies and, primarily, collaborative teamwork. The development of this competence involves Continuing Education in Health, understood as fundamental in the formative process of SUS workers. The objective of the study is to analyze the dental surgeon's work process in the Family Health Strategy in the municipality of São José de Mipibu-RN. This is a social research of qualitative approach, of exploratory and descriptive nature to be developed in the basic care of the municipality and that will comprise the professional dentists of the Family Health Strategy. Data will be collected through individual interviews using a semi-structured script and the data from the interviews will be organized, explored and analyzed based on the method presented by Bardin and codified and systematized using the ATLAS.ti 8 software. As a result of this study, the intention is to elaborate a proposal for continuing education that involves the construction of a Virtual Learning Object to strengthen collaborative teamwork based on the needs identified in the study.
