Hospital efficiency in Brazil comes up against the incipience of care management, the excess of bureaucracy, the lack of standardization of processes and the unavailability of practices that promote the quality of care efficiency. There is an opportunity to create value for patient care during hospitalization, impacting performance indicators in healthcare, especially during hospitalization. In addition, there is a mismatch in the knowledge of the care team and a gap in tools that promote standardized and participatory care management. Therefore, a care model called the MANAGE METHOD (integrated and rapid management) will be exposed, which performs the formatting of care processes to promote the effective management of the patient's journey during a hospital stay. The GERIR METHOD was designed based on the lean six sigma DMADV (Define, Measure, Analyze, Design and Verify) methodology. Finally, the GERIR METHOD fosters the concept of Health 4.0, as it allows the design of automated care management mechanisms, generating optimization of work processes and the provision of high quality services. As a result of the implementation of the MANAGE METHOD, a reduction in errors is expected with an improvement in quality, a reduction in costs and the leverage of assistance performance.
