Artificial Intelligence Tools in Elementary School: Potential for Teacher Leadership and Student Engagement
Teacher training; educational technologies; artificial intelligence in education.
This study constitutes a project for the development of a complex research project, the initial part of a proposed intervention for teacher training to enhance autonomy in pedagogical planning. Its objective is to investigate the extent to which continuing education influences the level of pedagogical appropriation of Artificial Intelligence tools by 4th and 5th grade teachers in municipal schools in Parazinho. From a methodological point of view, it presents, in an exploratory context, the diagnosis of training needs, the elaboration of a training model, and the validation of this model in situ, in pilot schools. It is expected that future results will offer reflections on the relevance of the research object and contribute to the construction of a teacher training model that enhances the pedagogical appropriation of Artificial Intelligence tools by elementary school teachers.
