Digital Games; Portuguese language, Digital platforms; Teacher Training; Training Plan for Teachers.
The teaching of the Portuguese language, with regard to the development and improvement of skills and abilities presented by the National Common Curricular Base - BNCC, still presents unsatisfactory results, as evidenced by those obtained in the large-scale evaluations of the Basic Education Evaluation System - SAEB. In the quest to contribute to teaching strategies that help teachers in their pedagogical practices that culminate in the development of students' skills and abilities, we present a study centered on content about the universe of digital games, because in addition to being cultural artifacts with potential for learning language skills, are present in students' lives. With this, the present work aims to design a continuous training in service, using the universe of digital games as a thematic for planning a Training Plan for Portuguese Language teachers who work in the 9th year of elementary school in the municipal network of Gonçalo do Amarante/RN. Therefore, the methodology used in this investigation was qualitative, and to achieve the objective this study carried out the following research actions: application of questionnaires to students and teachers belonging to the research locus and analysis of digital platforms that discuss contents referring to the universe of digital games. As a theoretical-methodological support for the execution of the study, we rely on authors who discuss the teaching of the Portuguese language (Antunes, 2003; Geraldi, 2012; Marcuschi, 2008; Passarelli, 2011); games (Huizinga, 2000 Prensky, 2012; Alves, 2009, Petry L, 2016; Petry A, 2014; Sanches, 2021, Gee, 2012) and teacher training (Tardif, 2014; Imbernón, 2011; Zabala, 1998). Therefore, this work hopes that the Training Plan for Teachers can contribute to the development of teaching strategies on the part of teachers and, consequently, corroborate the development of the skills and abilities in Portuguese necessary for students in the 9th grade of elementary schools covered in this study.
