This study aims to investigate and systematize active learning methodologies applied to the teaching of Sociology in Brazilian high schools, with a view to developing a pedagogical e-book to support teachers in designing innovative, contextualized, and theoretically grounded practices. The research stems from the recognition that teaching Sociology faces significant challenges in articulating sociological theory, students’ everyday experiences, and methodologies capable of fostering critical thinking, defamiliarization, and problematization of social phenomena. The study adopts a qualitative, exploratory, and documental approach, analyzing academic productions and educational materials published over the past ten years. Data collection and analysis will be conducted using content analysis techniques to identify thematic categories, recurring methodological strategies, and the main challenges faced by Sociology teachers. Expected outcomes include the analysis of methodologies used in Sociology teaching, the identification of their potential, and the production of an accessible pedagogical guide in e-book format, contributing to teacher training and the strengthening of critical and transformative pedagogical practices. Ultimately, the e-book is expected to assist teachers in planning lessons that promote meaningful learning aligned with the formative objectives of this subject.
