Teacher training, interactive digital whiteboard, active methodology, English language teaching.
This master's work aims to investigate the practice of using the Interactive Digital Whiteboard in English language classes in the public schools of Natal. Since teacher education is the appropriate space for discussions of these practices, we will seek to identify if there are methodological proposals for the use of LDI in the planning and development of this resource in the school space, according to Selbach (2010). This research is characterized by the course of the action research phases according to (Severino, 2007 and Gil, 2002) which will be developed during the investigation period, comprising a self-reflection by the group involved, in order to expand the rationality and procedures of the research. social practices and educational performance, in order to intervene in the process. One of the possibilities to intensify the use of ICTs in practice is to invest in teacher training, pointing out, in active methodologies, possible instruments of interaction and engagement in understanding the contents between reflection and action, as Moran (2000), as well as acquisition of autonomy in the act of learning, as Freire (1996) points out. We hope that this research promotes critical perception through the analysis of the limitations and prospects of using the whiteboard, bringing relevant contributions to academic work, with reflexes in the basic education of schools of the Natal Municipal Network.
