The Teaching Internship is an activity in which the student assists a UFRN professor (not necessarily from the PPGEP faculty) in teaching a course.
It is a mandatory activity for CAPES scholarship holders and does not grant credits. Enrollment in the Teaching Internship is handled by the Graduate Office; students must request it via email at ppgep@ccet.ufrn.br. To complete the internship, the student must develop a Work Plan with a professor and register it in the SIGAA system. Upon completion, the student must follow the same procedure to submit a Report on the activities performed during the semester. Both items will be evaluated by the coordination through the system.
Before starting the Teaching Internship, students must complete the Introduction to Teaching Course - CID (depending on where it is offered, it may be called "Teaching in Higher Education" or a similar name). This course consists of a series of lectures and activities designed to assist graduate
students in this role. Enrollment is performed the same way as a regular course via SIGAA and grants credits as an elective.
