Registration is open from May 4th to June 5th, 2026, for the 1st Technological Challenge in Energy. The theme is: Energy Transition in the Oil Industry: small-scale technological solutions.
Candidates must develop functional three-dimensional prototypes (maquettes or physical models) representing technological solutions for the oil and energy industry. The focus should be on energy efficiency, the use of renewable sources, and the mitigation of environmental impacts. The goal is to
promote the integration of teaching, research, outreach, and innovation across undergraduate and graduate levels, contributing to the development of qualified personnel and the dissemination of scientific and technological knowledge.
The top winners will be awarded a trophy, medals, and certificates.
The competition is promoted by the Graduate Program in Energy and Petroleum (PPGEP) and the Graduate Program in Mechanical Engineering (PPGEM), in collaboration with the Technology Center (CT) and the Center for Exact and Earth Sciences (CCET), all part of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN).
