To defend their dissertation in the Postgraduate Program in Energy and Petroleum at UFRN, students must have passed a foreign language proficiency exam.
Students may choose Spanish, English, or French.
The exams are offered three to four times a year by the UFRN Permanent Entrance Examination Committee - Comperve. To find out the procedures and dates for the exam, students should visit the department's website: www.comperve.ufrn.br. After passing the exam, students must bring a copy of the certificate to the secretariat (the document will remain at the department) or send proof to the PPGEP email address.
The PPGEP, following current UFRN regulations, accepts proficiency exams from other universities or federal institutes, provided the document indicates that the student has passed with a grade of 70% or higher. The program also accepts the TOEFL (English), provided the student has a total score higher than 400 (ITP) or 42 (iBT).
