RESUMO:

Esta pesquisa tem como foco e objetivo sistematizar uma proposta preliminar para desenvolvimento de um aplicativo mobile tablet com o intuito de auxiliar na aplicação da técnica de Diferencial Semântico – DS, sob a abordagem do Design Participativo. A técnica de Diferencial Semântico, idealizada por Osgood et al. (1957), vem sendo utilizada para medir a percepção afetiva de indivíduos a respeito de objetos e conceitos por meio de escalas compostas por adjetivos bipolares, a partir dos modelos teóricos em que a técnica está apoiada. Durante a aplicação da técnica com os usuários em potencial, o pesquisador precisa administrar contextos diversos simultaneamente uso de equipamentos e tarefas tais como, gravador de áudio quando autorizado, observar e registrar relatos espontâneos do usuário/respondente. Observa-se que há uma sobrecarga cognitiva durante esse evento. Dessa maneira, a utilização de um único aplicativo cuja interface é elaborada com a finalidade de melhorar a experiência dos usuários da técnica de DS, que são: os pesquisadores e colaboradores respondentes, poderá ser fundamental como elemento mediador. A presente pesquisa, objetivando entender os processos inerentes à tarefa de aplicação da técnica de Diferencial Semântico, seguiu as seguintes etapas: a) a capacitação de usuários; b) questionário de Background; c) entrevista com Grupo de Foco; d) desenvolvimentos de protótipos; e e) avaliação cooperativa. Foram observadas e registradas as reações e impressões dos usuários a partir da experiência com a técnica de DS. A partir dessas observações, a hipótese da pesquisa consiste em afirmar que a viabilidade de um aplicativo para mobile tablet, como mediador na aplicação da técnica de diferencial semântico, a medida em que converge as etapas em um só dispositivo, melhora a execução da tarefa entre o usuário/pesquisador e o usuário/respondente promovendo a satisfação dos envolvidos.

ABSTRACT:

This research aims to systematize a proposal to develop a mobile tablet application in order to assist in implementing the Semantic Differential technique - SD, under the approach of Participatory Design, because has considered the cooperation of potential users of this technique. The Semantic Differential technique was introduced by Osgood et al. (1957) which has been used to measure the affective perception of individuals about objects and concepts by compounded scales by bipolar adjectives from the theoretical models in which the technique is supported: the conductible, spatial and metric models. During application of the technique with potential users, the researcher must simultaneously manage several contexts, e.g., audio recorder when authorized, observe and record spontaneous reports of the respondent. It is observed that there is a cognitive overload during this event.  Thus the use of a single application whose interface is designed for its users and respondents could assist researchers in applying the technique of SD. This research aimed to understand the processes inherent in the task of implementing the Semantic Differential technique, followed the following steps: a) the training of users, b) Background Questionnaire c) interview with Focus Group and d) evaluation cooperative. Therefore, at first, the design and advertising professional, information technology, developers and design students were chosen to train potential users, as well as aiming to understand the tasks inherent to the process. Besides, it was observed the degree of ease or difficulty from the use of conventional model, which is the development and application of scales by the use of printed, pencil, pen, clipboard, and recorder software for editing the document and data analysis, etc. Reactions and impressions from users' experience were observed and recorded from SD technique. From these observations, the hypothesis of the research is to affirm that the viability of an application for mobile tablet as agent for the use of semantic differential technique, the extent to which converges the steps on one device, optimizes the task of the user/researcher and the user/respondent.
