Increasing Security in Biometric-Based Identication Systems: Using Cryptography and Template Protection Methods
Biometric-Based Identification Systems; Security; Cryptography; Template protection methods.
In this work, we propose the simultaneous use of cryptography (Papilio's Cryptosystem) with security templates (Fuzzy Vault and Fuzzy Commitment) in multibiometric-based identification systems. We aim to increase the two most important aspects ims biometric-based systems: Security and Accuracy. Additionally, we aim to keep a reasonable efficiency level of these data through the use of more elaborated classification structures, such as ensemble systems. With this proposal, we intend to have robust and secure biometric-based identification systems using signature-based identification to illustrate the possible benefits accruing.
