SUMMARY:

Tourism mobilizes worldwide the productive sectors of goods and services requiring the work of numerous categories. Undoubtedly, the lodging sector is considered one of these basic segments of tourism, since, added to the transport segment and tourist attractions, it constitutes what is understood as a tourism product. In the framework of fierce competition and the free market, with the emergence of new arrangements and business models, the importance of price for the hosting segment brings challenges to be overcome daily by managers. These challenges permeate the functionalities of a hotel organization chart, and permeate spaces not yet structured, but of paramount importance for the profitability of a company. In this contemporary scenario of uncertainties, the present work has as its main research objective, to identify the indicators of the pricing strategies adopted by medium and large lodging, located in Natal-RN, in order to propose the formulation of an instrument of analysis on this theme. The following tertiary objectives are: A) To identify the main pricing strategies in housing, based on a survey of the existing literature; B) Correlate existing pricing strategies with environmental practices and eco-innovations developed in hosting; C) Propose an analysis tool for the identification of pricing strategies in lodging facilities. The following are the chapters of the theoretical framework. Chapter II entitled “Pricing Strategies in Lodging Facilities: A Historical-Conceptual Review” served as the theoretical basis for the scientific paper published in 2018 in Hospitality Magazine. Chapter III of the theoretical framework entitled “Environmental management systems and competitiveness: an analysis of multiple cases in Natal-RN lodging facilities” brings the article published in the Tourism-Vision and Action Magazine in 2019 and whose main theme is the applicability of environmental practices as a competitive strategy for hotels in Natal-RN. The methodology applied to this work is of quantitative approach and exploratory nature. A pilot test was applied for fact analysis and greater reliability of the research. For the purpose of analysis will be used the factorial analysis of the data. The validity of the scales will be made by calculating Cronbach's alpha coefficient among the proposed indicators. The preliminary results of this study indicate that eco-innovations appear in the current sustainable context (triple bottom line) conjecturing the reduction of costs and image building of hosting companies, thus immerging, as one of the pricing strategies present in the analysis instrument, proposed by this work.
